Nike City Knife II

footwear design

Nike City Knife II – The second generation of foldable shoes, this time readdressing how a shoe is made by minimizing the number of parts. Inspired by the geometry and articulations found in origami, the shoe is constructed only of three parts: the outsole, upper and removable insole.
By leaving out the midsole, foams, heel counters, laces, etc. it makes this shoe collapsible, compact and more cost effective to manufacture.
The City Knife II is ideal for travel as a carry-on slipper or extra pair of shoes.
